Got That 80's Fever: Loungewear
Posted on 05 October 2016
Everyone and their mom is obsessed with Netflix by now! I couldn’t help but notice that the early 80s are a reoccurring theme for many of their original series lately. Starting with the eerie, yet fantastical Stranger Things, and the raw and violent: Narcos that is based on the life of the Colombian drug lord, Pablo Escobar. If you haven’t gotten around to watching either of these TV series, I highly recommend both! They’re highly stylized and contain an engaging cast that makes you either root for them or straight-up despise them.
What could possibly make your night even better than one that is filled with marathons of Netflix? Could it be.. being in your favorite comfy outfit while binge watching all of them!? Here are three comfy, yet sexy looks inspired by the 80s to be lounging in at home – even if you’re riding solo or with that special someone. It doesn’t get much better than wearing one of these!
The Studio Look
Pair our Vintage Nylon Lounge Pant with the Soft All-In-One leotard. It’ll get you feeling like you’re both Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing. Perhaps you’ll even have the courage to attempt the iconic scene in your living room where Johnny Castle lifts up Baby after countless attempts, or… you could just watch the film and see it happen instead.
The Booty2 Short Look
This is something a bit sporty to wear around the house, if legs are your game. This look pairs the Booty2 Short with our Neon Cabana Tank. I couldn’t help but notice that this gives off a bit of a Freddy Kreuger vibe from A Nightmare on Elm Street that also happens to be another 80s horror classic and a perfect cult film to get into the Halloween spirit!
The Sexy Dreams Look
Our Simply Luxurious Chiffon Robe with the Lace Kinky Tanga – for those who are a bit more daring and want to feel like a boss around the house. There’s always something about a robe that says “ultimate relaxation” and brings luxury to a night time regimen. I’m pretty sure that’s what Scarface would prefer! After all, robes aren’t only for Gina Montana.
Hope these outfits have brought some inspiration for those nights in! Who’s your favorite cult film character and what’s an outfit you would create using Body Aware underwear? Comment letting us know your faves below!
